From household pets to proper 'workers', we all want to give them the unconditional love, exercise and training they deserve. So when 'life' gets in the way - or if you just need an extra pair of hands now and again - it's good to know you have a local, reliable spaniel expert who can step in.
That's where Phoebe & Friends comes in. We are an experienced, qualified (and spaniel-mad) family who are here to support you and your best four-legged friend with a range of great care, nutrition and training options.

Puppies & juniors
From simple house-training through to loose-lead walking and solid recall, we can help set your young spaniel on the right track in terms of behaviour and socialisation - making for a safe, happy, more confident spaniel (and owner!)
Basic gundog training
Even if you don't intend to 'work' your spaniel, field training is brilliant fun, great discipline and a real mental workout. We offer regular training for beginners and intermediates in safe, quiet locations that your best buddy will love.

Our story
My obsession with spaniels even pre-dates our own lovely Phoebe! I fell in love with this intelligent, devoted breed a very long time ago. My own father was a great shot, so you could say that gundog ownership was written in the stars for me. We began training Phoebe when she was a pup, and were thrilled to find this age-old tradition is as much about bonding with your dog as it is about growing their capability in the field. The skills they learn are fundamental to everyday doggie life – from a walk in the park to good behaviour in a social situation.
With Phoebe’s son Jester and daughter Cassie now with us too, we’re proud to say we have 3 terrific field-trained spaniels. We’ve had the privilege of working with several professional trainers, so I feel honoured to pass on the foundations of our learnings.
I’ve always been passionate about feeding spaniels the best diet for their constitution, and believe that nutrition is about quality, not cost. Studying for my Canine Nutrition Diploma with the ISCP (International School of Canine Psychotherapy), in which I gained a Distinction, has enabled me to put my research and knowledge into practice. Today, I advise spaniel owners on a range of nutritional issues, including weight management, intolerances, junior/senior diets, pregnancy nutrition, dental health, coat and general conditioning, and specific requirements of the working season.
